Interviewer fm:   “And I'm Stony Dampson.   We'll be conducting this evening's interview with Mister Edgar Hooper.   Mr. Hooper has a very interesting background which you'll find out about in a moment."  

Interviewers:   “Mr. Hooper, we'd like to thank you for being with us today."  

Hooper:   “Thank you for inviting me.”  

Interviewers:   “Please tell our viewers about yourself, your background, and how you relate to the marijuana controversy.” 

Hooper: “I recently retired from thirty-five years in in the field of criminal justice.   As a young man I was a navy seal.   I spent two years in and around Viet Nam.   After completing my military service I became a swat team member of the Los Angeles Police Department.   In those days, I was considered by many to be a cocky, arrogant, and overly-self-confident son of a bitch."  

"After several years in Los Angeles, I signed on with an anti-drug agency, and for the remainder of my career, I was involved in one way or another in supporting marijuana prohibition.”  

Interviewers:   “So you've seen and heard and done things that most of us can hardly even imagine.”  

Hooper:   “That's correct.”  

Interviewers:   “How do you relate to marijuana prohibition today?”  

Hooper:   “Over the years, I've mellowed almost beyond my own belief."  

Interviewers:   “What does that mean?”  

Hooper:   “It means I no longer support marijuana prohibition.”  

Interviewers:   “So you've become a marijuana truth seeker."  

Hooper:   “I have.   I spent my last three years prior to retirement as an insider, silently and secretly investigating the marijuana prohibitionists.”  

Interviewers:   “We'd like to hear about your personal exploits, but first, please give our viewers some basic information about marijuana and the controversy surrounding it."  

Hooper:   “OK, where would you like to start?" 

Interviewers:   “We'll begin with a commitment to finding the truth?"  

Hooper:   “That's fine with me.”  

During the dialog about the, Marijuana Stamp Act, add pictures of historical video footage on this topic.  

Interviewers:   “Mr. Hooper, are you familiar with the 1937, Marijuana Stamp Act?”  

Hooper:   “Yes, that was the beginning of the anti-marijuana war in America.”  

Interviewers:   “Did it serve the public or did it serve the special interests of those who pushed it onto Congress until Congress made it the law of the land?”  

Hooper:   “It served the special interests.”  

Interviewers:   “For the benefit of our viewers, please describe the federal government's Marijuana Stamp Act."  

Hooper:   “In essence, the law stated that you had to have a marijuana tax stamp in order to possess marijuana, but you couldn't get a stamp unless you already possessed marijuana.   If you possessed marijuana without a tax stamp you were violating the law and subject to arrest and punishment.   Not only that, the government never printed any tax stamps.”  

“For twenty one years, thousands of people enforced or obeyed that law.   It was the law of the land from 1937 until 1958 when it was declared to be unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.”  

Interviewers:   “Mr. Hooper, does that law make any sense to you?”  

Hooper:   “To me personally, no, but it did to those who wanted the law passed."  

Interviewers: “What motivated those who wanted it passed?”   

Hooper: “Money and power.   Multi-millionaires, Randolph Hearst and Charles DuPont, wanted it passed in order make more money.   Harry Anslinger, the head of the government's anti-marijuana campaign, had become addicted to political power.   The three of them, along with a few others, began a slander campaign against marijuana.   That campaign of outright lies and open disregard for the truth is unrivaled in all of American political history.”   

Interviewers: “Both Hearst and DuPont had more than enough money to live opulent and extravagant lifestyles for a hundred lifetimes.   They were two of the world's wealthiest men.   Why did they want more money?"

Interviewers:   “OK, you've got my attention!   Am I correct in saying that functional society has been missing a major piece of evidence about human behavior?”  

Hooper:   “Yes.   Researchers have found that making money triggers the same response in the brain that using cocaine does.”  

Interviewers:   “Is the same thing true about engaging in high-stakes gambling and engaging in physically and/or financially dangerous behavior?”  

Hooper:   “Yes.   All three of them trigger the release of dopamine into the pleasure centers in the human brain.”  

Interviewers:   “So you are saying that you don't need to take drugs in order to be a drug addict.  

Hooper:   “I'm not saying that.   The evidence is."  

Interviewers:   “Has this piece of our social and political structure been ignored up until now”  

Hooper: “Yes, and it's still being ignored today, even in the face of the overwhelming evidence.   You were exactly on target when you said You don't need to take drugs in order to be a drug addict.”   The implications of these findings are profound beyond words.”

Hooper:   “You've probably heard that human DNA and chimpanzee DNA are more than 95% identical.”

Interviewers:   “I have.”

Hooper:   “Have you heard about our kinship with frogs?”

Interviewers:   “No.”

Hooper:   “Then I shall tell you.   Biologist have discovered that if you place a live, healthy frog into hot water, it will immediately jump out, but if you place that same frog into cool water and ever so slowly heat the water, the frog will just sit there as the water temperature rises.   The frog will make no attempt to jump out while the water becomes hotter and hotter until it becomes so hot that it kills the frog.”

Hooper:   “Individually, probably not, but for humans collectively, the answer is yes.”

Interviewers:   “How are humans related to frogs?”

Hooper:   “In their behavior patterns.   Humans are the frogs and the Earth's environment is the water pot.   Frogs are biologically programmed to react to large changes.   Frogs are also programmed to ignore small, gradual changes.”

“Humans are programmed pretty much the same way.   The major difference is that humans have the potential to mentally follow present trends into the future.   Humans can see the present environmental destruction and the future disasters that present activities are sure to bring, but many people simply ignore what they see.   They pretend that it's not really happening or that if they ignore it, it will go away.”

Interviewers:   “How am I at the effect of collective frog consciousness?”

Hooper:   “Do I need to remind you that there is only one Earth and we are all in this together.”

Hooper:   “Yes.   Have you heard the terms Situation Awareness/ Preparedness and Normalcy Bias?”

Interviewers:   “No.”

Hooper:   “Situation Awareness/Preparedness refers to being aware of potential dangers and preparing yourself in case any of them occur.   Protecting one's assets against a financial crash is one example.   Environmental emergency preparedness is another example of this.   Additional examples include:  having extra food, and water,  knowing what to do in an emergency,  and having an emergency evacuation plan.”

Interviewer fm:   “I learned that in Girl Scouts, 'be prepared'.   What's normalcy bias?”

Hooper:   “Normalcy Bias is the opposite of Situation Awareness/ Preparedness.   It's also known as The Ostrich Effect and Analysis Paralysis.   It is, in essence, denying potential problems and failing to prepare for them.   In an emergency people with Normalcy Bias will deny what's happening and simply do nothing.   This commonly occurs in the face of a financial or an environmental crisis.   It's also common when people face a potential problem that has never occurred before.”  

Interviewers:   “Are you saying that with regard to the environment, humans, collectively, are expressing normalcy bias?”

Hooper:   “Yes.   They are denying what the evidence tell them.   They're stuck in the belief that because humanity has never faced an environmental problem of this magnitude and severity, it can't be happening now."  

"The common, Normalcy Bias response to the global climate change is that it's not caused by human activity,  that it's just a part of the Earth's natural cycles, and that even if it is caused by human activity, the problem is so big that there's nothing that they can do about it."  

Interviewers:   “Are the money/dopamine addicts also in denial?"  

Hooper:   “They have the money and the political power to make changes, but they're ignoring the environment.   What does that tell you?"  

Interviewers:   “That for them, making money is more important than saving the environment."  

Hooper:   “Remember, it's not the money they're after.   It's the dopamine fix ."  

Interviewers:   “And the public just goes along?"  

Hooper:   “Yes.   Most people believe what our so-called leaders tell them.   They have no idea that those in control are drug addicts focused on getting their next dopamine fix.”  

Interviewers:   “Why are these worldly-powerful people engaged in what is, essentially, a suicide mission?"

Hooper:  “I can't say with certainty.   All I can do is share with you anecdotal evidence that I have seen regarding the Crash & Burn pattern that often dominates addicts who have power and control." 

Interviewers: “What pattern is that?”

Hooper: “When a money and profit/dopamine addict reaches the Crash & Burn stage, they realize that they're about to die, or spend the rest of their life in prison, or experience some other disastrous, physical fate.   Some simply submit to their fate.  

"Others get very angry and delusional.   Knowing that the end is near and inevitable, they act like Libya's dictator Gaddafi.   When their personal world finally crashes, they want to take as many others down with them as they possibly can.”

Interviewers: “That's pretty scary.”

Hooper: “Scary or not, we need to face the truth.   Addicts make poor decisions. Cocaine/Dopamine Addicts and Money & Profit/Dopamine Addicts are both poor decision makers.”

“Did you ever wonder why do so many billionaires and multi-millionaires risk everything they have to make more money?"

Interviewers: “No.   Why?" 

Hooper:   “Because their addiction overwhelms their rational thought process.   Feeding their addiction comes first.   These men aren't after the money.   They're seeking their next dopamine fix, and as the evidence tells us, they must keep increasing the stimulus to get the same responses."  

"The end result is, all too often, a highly-destructive Crash & Burn.   As I mentioned before, the Enron scandal is an extraordinarily well-documented examples of this."

Interviewers:   ”When the public becomes aware that the world is being run by drug addicts, what kind of responses do you expect?"  

Hooper:   “From the money/dopamine addicts, the first responses will be anger and denial.   The public will mostly disbelieve and ignore the evidence.   A few will acknowledge the truth.   How soon the system will change is anybody's guess."  

Interviewers:   ”Let's get back to the urgency.   Why must we deal with the environment problems now?   Why can't we put off taking action until later?”

Hooper:   “Because with environmental issues, there's a significant time delay between cause and catastrophe.”

Interviewers:   ”Do you mean between cause and effect?"

Hooper:   “In this case, they're one and the same thing."

Interviewers:   ”I don't want to hear this, but I'm still going to say, 'Please continue'."

Hooper:   “You're expressing a very common human response, except that, in your case, you are inviting me to continue.   The more common human response is to ignore the problem until the disaster strikes, and by then it's too late to take action to avoid the consequences."  

"Here's an example.   The Sacramento - San Joaquin river delta area in northern California is a social, political, economic, and environmental disaster of monumental proportions waiting to happen.   The water supply for abut 25 millions people in central and southern California is in danger of being shut off for two to three years.   Even though it's one of the most urgent and vitally-needed infrastructure repair projects in the entire nation, and even though the repercussions of this disaster happening are national in scale, present updates and repairs are using the "band aid" approach on a problem that needs major surgery.

Hooper:   “It's time now to show our viewers how dopamine addiction, the coming economic renaissance, the environment, and legalizing marijuana are all intimately interconnected -- how they're all part of the same package.”

Interviewers:   “Yes, please describe the connections.”  

Hooper:   “By miles, by light years, by any measure you can possibly imagine, the number one concern of everybody should be saving the environment, but it's not.    In the face of problems so severe that they could even lead to human extinction, the number one priority of our so-called leaders is still money and short-term profits.”

Interviewers:   “OK, that's the problem.   How is legalizing marijuana the solution?”

Hooper:   “It's not the solution.   It's the trigger that fires the gun that shoots the bullet that hits the target that flips the switch that turns on the light that reveals the truth that inspires the people to ends the problem.”  

Interviewers:   “What?”  

Hooper:   “Have you heard the ancient proverb,  'For Want of a Nail'?”

Interviewers:   “No.”  

Hooper:   "Then listen to this:"

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.

For want of a shoe the horse was lost.

For want of a horse the rider was lost.

For want of a rider the battle was lost.

For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.

And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

Hooper:   “What does that mean to you?”

Interviewers:   “It's a metaphor similar to the stories about 'The Butterfly Effect'  and  'The Camel's Nose.'   It's a symbolic story about how one thing inadvertently leads to another.”

Hooper:   “Good! Now let me walk you down a similar path from medical marijuana   through   an economic renaissance   to   saving what's left of our natural environment”  

Interviewers:   “Please do.”   

Hooper:   “You probably know that publicity and public awareness is the last thing that the marijuana prohibitionists want." 

Interviewers:   “Why?" 

Hooper:   “Because the entire anti-marijuana campaign is based upon lies, deception, and on keeping the public ignorant of the truth."  

Interviewers:   “So your work is to combat lies and silence with the truth and with publicity."  

Hooper:   “You've got it.   The weakest point of the marijuana prohibitionists is their claims against medical marijuana.   They claim that marijuana has no medical benefits is a flat out lie – a lie that is contradicted by overwhelming evidence.   By bringing attention to that lie,  we are exposing the even greater campaign of lies about marijuana, itself."  

Interviewers: “Do you have evidence to back up your claims that the marijuana prohibitionists are lying?”

Hooper:  “Yes, mountains of it, and I'll share that evidence with you in a moment, but first,  please follow this trail with me.   You've probably noticed that the demand for marijuana legalization is rapidly increasing in the public at large, and among highly educated professionals.   Many very reputable organizations are now calling for the federal government to make major changes regarding its anti-marijuana laws.”

Hooper:   “Then you know that the 74-year reign of the federal-government anti-marijuana, domestic-terrorism against its own citizens is about to end.”

Interviewers:   “I wouldn't label it quite the same as you have, but yes, I do see that the end is close at hand.”

Hooper:   “How would you label it?”

Interviewers:   “I wouldn't be so kind.   Please tell us about the coming changes.”

Hooper:   “As medical marijuana becomes legal in more and more states, this will increase the push to legalize marijuana for personal use.   Legalizing marijuana will reduce the profits to the criminals by at about 150 billion dollars per year.   Legalizing marijuana will also reduce crime by over fifty percent.  When the public sees the truth about marijuana, this will cause the entire anti-drug war to collapse.   Addiction will be treated as a medical problem and not as a criminal issue "  

"With the end of the anti-drug war, another 100 billion dollars per year will no longer go the the criminals.   The huge amounts of secret money presently being used to fund police, political, and corporate corruption all over the world will simply disappear.   As that secret money disappears, much of the present corruption will disappear with it.   The need for police and prison industries will be dramatically reduced.   Legalizing marijuana will allow a now-prohibited, multi-billion dollar hemp industry to begin in the United States."

Hooper:   “This isn't an order.   The death of marijuana prohibition and the birth of the new business structure are both part of a natural and inevitable chain of events."  

“The unstoppable birth of awareness is bringing with it a constructive tsunami that will wash away all the dictatorships all over the world.   You can see the beginning stages of this in the Middle East with the fall of the dictatorships run by violence.   When the people cease to be afraid of the financial dictatorships, the dictatorships run by illusion will also crumble."  

Interviewers:   “What do you mean when you say financial dictatorships?" 

Hooper:   “Those run by the  money & profit/dopamine addicts, which is, essentially, everything that's not controlled by violence." 

"The video we are creating will likely speedup the process, but with or without this video, the process I've just described is as inevitable as tomorrow's sunrise." 

Interviewers:   “What kind of financial system could possibly do that?   How can the new financial structure possibly replace the existing system?”

Hooper:   “That's what I'm about to show you.   Everything I've just said is totally real and it's also incredibly simply."

Interviewers:   “I'm all ears.”

Hooper:   “There are two major ways that this will happen.   There's the replacement scenario which I'll describe in a moment, and there's the process that centers around partnering revised and updated versions of the traditional non-profit foundation with existing profit-oriented corporations.   Shall I give you the ninety-second summary?" 

Interviewers:   “Please do.”

Hooper:

***  Any corporation with publicly traded stock, can, by free will choice, set up its own, independently-controlled, non-profit foundation.

***  The profit-making corporation and the newly-created, non-profit foundation work together as a team.   The corporations focus on creating wealth and the foundations focus on managing and distributing that wealth.

**  Each month, the profit-making company donates a small percentage of its profits to this foundation, such as a portion of the money it normally donates to charity.   There are at least four other ways to fund the foundations.   They're discussed on the New Corporate World website.

***  The foundation uses this money to buy stock in its partner corporation.

***  The foundation uses the dividends from owning the stock to buy more stock in its partner Corporation.

***  When the foundation has acquired a controlling financial interest in the corporation, the corporation and the foundation function as a team and redefine the corporation's reason for being.

***  Most of the stock profits, instead of going to the money lenders, (the traditional corporate stockholders) will belong to the foundation.   The excess money will be distributed to the foundation's named beneficiaries, (management, employees, customers, the environment, and any remaining outside stockholders)   (Please see Footnote Reference: Sharing the Wealth .)    

The money can then be used :

~~~To create healthy, safe working environments,

~~~To financially reward management and employees at rates that are  just, fair, and equitable, and that are in line with the amount of money required to produce sustainable living conditions,

~~~To rebuild, re-model, update, and/or replace the company's infrastructure.

Interviewers:   “A moment ago, I thought you were crazy, but now I see that it's the present system that's crazy.”

Hooper:   “Would you like to hear some of the benefits?"  

Interviewers: “Definitely!”

Hooper:  

***  Products intentionally designed to break down and fall apart can be replaced by high quality products designed for maximum use-life and maximum efficiency and designed with recycling in mind,  

***  Modular construction will replace single unit construction.

***  Milking customers for a few extra dollar can be replaced by providing high quality goods and services,   

Interviewers:   “Are you telling me that everything you've just described can be accomplished simply by partnering corporations and foundations?"  

Hooper:   “Yes." 

Interviewers:   “It's really that simple?”

Hooper:   “Yes." 

Interviewers:   “This is way too good to be true!”

Hooper:   “I challenge you and anybody else on the entire planet to prove me wrong!"

Interviewers:   “Wow!”

Hooper:   “With regard to the home foreclosure crisis, what I've just described is the long way.   If he had the courage to do so, President Obama could simply make a public announcement that would trigger the end of the home foreclosure crisis in less than a month.   We'll describe that process in another section of this video.  For now I direct you to one of Reverend Cote's websites.
